i waited for a good price and got it. julbo doesn't have very many glacier glasses made for smaller faces (this was really the only viable option), and i knew i wanted julbo. these look and feel good on a smaller face, probably more for women, although there's nothing extremely femenine about the cut, so if they fit a guy no reason not to wear them. they're nice and light and i don't think they'll slide down my nose. these are very comfortable so far, and they're dark, although not ridiculously so. i'll have to report back after my glacier trip on both comfort and function. the blockers on the side aren't very substantial, but i have to imagine they're adequate. they're easy to remove, so hopefully they won't come off on their own. the case that came with them is okay-looking medium-hard plastic, white for me although i'm not sure if that's because i got white sunglasses. the case is an unusual type, it's split in half across the shorter side, so you sort of squeeze the halves and work them apart. the problems is, i have no doubt that the case will squeeze open in my pack at some point, and i'll have to be careful to make sure the sunglasses aren't crushed. on the upside, the case is basically the perfect size for the glasses (not huge) and very light, which are key for hiking and climbing, when every ounce counts. These sunglasses are very lightweight, which I wasn't expecting. I have a medium to large head and the glasses fit comfortably over my nose and over my ears. The side shields do a good job of blocking direct sun rays. I would call these glasses to be medium in size and the coverage does a good job of protection. What's really amazing is how much glare is reduced in harsh light. Living in New Mexico I can attest to this. This is my first Julbo purchase and, in spite of the cost, I think the overall quality justifies the expense. My husband and I are going to Antarctica in January, so I will enjoy the anti-glare benefits in ice and snow. I like the color of the frames and the way they look on my face. Definitely worth the splurge.Pricey for sure, but worked like a charm. Super comfortable, after hours of daily use for almost two full weeks, no pinching behind the ears or headaches or other annoyances that typically come with many sports sunglasses. The only problem I had was that, when hiking with a Buff or gaiter (necessary due to high altitude, cold temp hiking) the glasses would get so foggy it was hard to see.Good to block the sun but can still see through very wellExcellent quality, scratched after a few years' use. Dark lenses for very bright conditions.Great for my trail runs in bright sunny conditions. ( I also bought a pair of Zebra ones for dawn and dusk, when intermittently shady). Both are VERY comfortable, stable while running, and work really well. Definitely worth the expense.Great sun glasses. Both my wife and I wear them. They look good. Fit well. Stay on no matter what your doing. I run ultras and have to say these do hold up. Good choice glasses and price is fair compared to many others.Since my eyes are very sensitive to light, I needed sunglasses that would shield my eyes from the top and side as well as from the front, which these Julbos did. They also fit very well (like Oakleys) and were LIGHT! The only negative thing I can say is that when I took them off, a few hairs might come too. I'm getting a pair made for reading glasses with my prescription. Great job, Julbo!Antiglare good.Visual distortion in close and distance.Sadly unwearable. The outer box was very damaged, I would never send it this way to anyone. The lenses and glasses and their direct cover were just fine and totally undamaged. You can use this sunglasses on a sunny glacier, but also in the shadow of a tree in the snow. The lenses react from very much light into less light. Category 4 lenses, very good in snow and sunlight, but not beyond the steering wheel if a car. That's forbidden with cat. 4 lenses.Fit for purpose, excellent protection and covering for your eyes, good grip.Worked very well while trekking in Nepal. Great protect and no glare from snow.Small side panel/cover fell off on day 1 and lost it, 2nd one is loose.
