Oakley Men's Oo9009 Flak Jacket XLJ Polarized Sunglasses for Running, Cycling & Outdoor Sports - UV Protection & Lightweight Frame

This is the only Jacket pair of glasses I own or have seen so this review is JUST for the FLAK JACKET style model.The best thing I like about this model is that you can break them down into 9 pieces; 2 lenses, Top of frames, 2 arms, 2 rubber nose grips, 2 rubber covers over the brand insignia on each arm, and 2 rubber earsocks on the arms to grip the sides of your head. If you ever should break something you can buy just that part.They fit me very well, i.e. tightly.The rubber accents come in five different colors.The Polarized version produces some very vibrant colors, sky, overcast, and ordinary objects, etc.The arms are straight so these don't put pressure behind your ears, like the bend arms are prone to do.The Things I am less impressed with are:The nose grips are just a little to dinky and lets the top frame come into contact with your eyebrows and if it's hot sweat will run down the backside of the lens. So I will need to find some type of spongy square about the size of a sugar cube with a sticky side to attach it to the center of the backside of the top frame. To make them protrude a little to keep them off my eyebrow.These snap in lens uses a very small 'dog ear' hook to lock them into place. This means that if you get them and want to put in a pair of Rx prescription lens, then you'll have a hard time finding a shop that will be able to cut them for you. Oakley themselves outsources Rx lens to two different cutters. Lenscrafters was one of them and by now I've forgotten who the other cutter was.I was shocked when I went to my local Lenscrafters. I'm surprised those women can get dressed and get to work. Or even make a simple cup of coffee. After a good deal of time I was able to find an optometrist in North Carolina who had the equipment that could cut the Rx and dog ear locks. So they had to be sent back out to have my prescription fulfilled. He did an excellent job, but the time spent online finding him could have been better well spent on other tasks around the house like everybody elses houses.Now that it's done and over with, and even if they are durable plastic and rubber parts. They 'seem' like they'll be able to hold up for a good while compared to lightweight metal frames from other vendors. I haven't been through a winter with them yet so I can't comment on the fog aspect now. It might be that I can use some anti-fog product made specifically for automobile windshields. I don't know?But they are comfortable compared to my last pair and has a better vision image. That's all I can tell you. Some great youtube video's out there. Just be aware of the lock notch style versus the snap in they don't mention in the video's. Search lens cutting on youtube and you'll see why. The cutter is a circular type grinder like in any garage. They can cut round and rounded rectangular shapes but not the dog ears these lenses need. I give them a 3.5 star rating but I don't have that option, so rounded up it was 4.
